"Melody began working with our son when he was a fairly squirmy, distractible 10 year-old.  Within weeks, she had him realizing he was actually a talented musician, taught him how to repair his own instrument so he could actually produce the sound he was trying to create, and he sailed on to master the saxophone, then add the bassoon to his repertoire and master that instrument at an unusually young age.  Under Melody's patient teaching, our son dove into music, performing in multiple ensembles including jazz and classical music, and soon was being sought out to perform in community events and high school orchestras while being 12 years old in the 7th grade.  Aside from the musicianship he gained from Melody's lessons, he emulated her teaching technique when he began tutoring younger students once he got into high school.  Her patient and upbeat teaching style carried through him to foster and inspire other young musicians to create music in a fun atmosphere.  Our only complaint was that she moved away from us!!  We love Melody and would highly recommend her."
